Sunshine

Not really anything much to say (I could go on and on about how blah I am feeling lately about my work and how I feel like a robot, but I don't even want to go there, hoping this will pass), and not much time to say it.

So...I'll talk about the weather! it's been absolutely gorgeous today, after what seems like weeks of hot and sticky days. Of course, I didn't know it was so nice out since I was inside working all day. As soon as I walked out of there, I felt a change come over me instantly.

It's sunny, but the kind of sunny where you want to sit out in it. I just ran in to say that. Now, it's back out to my deck chair with the dog and a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. (No one else here at the moment and I have just gotten in from work, and it's pretty nice being alone for a while)

I love mint chocolate chip ice cream. It is plus 30 here and a little bit too hot for me. I am tired. I will blog a little about our week tomorrow and a Top Ten list.

Have a good day at work. Hope something really unique and special happens for you.

I agree with you... I have the same kind of "blahs" lately... can't really explain why... just tired of the same old routine, and not a whole lot of fun ?? But yes, the weather has been really nice this week at least... it's warm here, but there's usually a nice breeze that just makes it feel good! :) Gotta enjoy the little things...

I've been craving ice cream a lot lately too... LOL... I guess when all else fails, ice cream cheers a person up, right?

I like those days when it's 'gorgeous' like that. It does not often happen here though, usually it's either too hot or too rainy/stormy etc. Enjoy it as much as you can!!

I noticed you are reading Eleni by Nicholas Gage. What do you think of it? Did you also see the movie? I have read the book by his daughter (see my book blog under the label Greece)...it's so interesting! I still need to read the one by her father as well!

We had a mini heat wave over the weekend...38*C is too hot for Larnaca. But after a busy week having my bathrooms renovated , I spent the weekend on the eastern coast only 50 km from home.It was much cooler ! By the way, I love dark mint chocolate...like After Eight ! I enjoy it with pistachio ice cream after ....any time !

Ice cream weather is any time! I love the picture on this blog. It reminds me of the book "Put a Geranium in Your Hat"!

Sandra,
I had never heard of that book you mentioned, but just checked it out online and just may look for it in our public library. :-) I drew my own yellow flower-hatted lady simply out of the blue one night--for some reason I like inventing hats on paper(not that I would ever wear anything like it)

The weather's been mostly nice here too, with nice breezes and a bit cooler than normal. Of course, last Friday we had a really bad sudden storm with hail the size of baseballs, gushing rain like I've never seen, and everything was covered with ice... it was INTENSE!! The house sounded like it was going to fall apart with the banging on the roof and windows, and cats were running around frightened... but it finally let up. Maybe we're going right into fall... I do love the temperatures and the breezes of fall, but then I get a bit sad that winter's coming... long, long winter. Winter is the longest, isn't it?!! And summer just goes SO fast.
