Right now I feel energized and am just about ready to head out the door to run some errands and do some food shopping.

This sounds a good deal like me (except I really don't mind being left alone), and that cat in the picture looks exactly like the Maine Coon named Max that my parents had for years. One day he simply disappeared and we think he must have been attacked by a coyote or something.

Well it tells me I am a Persian cat... hmmm, I don't agree with the first part about being high maintenance... but here goes:

I knew the cards came from a friend of yours but I guess I had forgotten she is 82 and busy in life caring for her husband..my! I hope I have that kind of energy when get that to that age(IF I get to that age)and to be creating cards, as well. I have barely gotten started writing out a few store-bought cards...

I would NEVER think that you were "high maintenance"!! However, the rest sounds like you.
I know I will eventually get stressed over Christmas as it gets closer. I already have a list in my head of things to do. But I must say after having slacked off on sending out Christmas cards last year, I am not feeling so bad about if I don't get them all sent out this year, either. I have lowered my standards, I suppose(which weren't really ever very high anyway), so it is a little less stressful for me. I still have a few things to get , but my husband has helped a lot with gift buying for our niece and nephew and they are already sent out. And my daughter is fun to shop for...just need a few more small things. We are keeping Christmas gift-giving very pared down this year...
try to relax, okay? (no one will disown you if they don't get a card from you this year--trust me on that one!)
