~Rosemary,
That's right--I now do remember you writing about your liking his music! Actually, my Gal Pals and I, are volunteeering at this show(we did the same thing at the same venue a few years ago) so it's free, and all we have to do is a little work and get to watch the show by the time Issak comes on.

sounds like fun to volunteer at a show like that!

Is the concert him and his guitar only? sort of an "unplugged" kind of presentation? I think it would be a good way to go! I remember him from that sexy video don't want to fall in love, and a few cameos he made in Friends and that movie That Thing you Do. I think he has a great voice. Enjoy your concert!

Oooh fun. Years ago (1989, I think), I went to the Newport Folk Festival. It was such a blast.

I am way to late with my comment, but I hope you enjoyed your evening.;)) I have always liked his cool laid back style and wonderful, melancholic voice.;))

~Cessie,
It was a little more organized and we had to "follow the rules"(no drinks from the bar until 9:00) more than the last time, but for the price of a 50.00 Dollar ticket to see Chris Isaak--it was worth it, and it was even more fun that my friends and I were all doing it together.

~Claudia,
Actually, it was him with in his full-on shiny jacketmode and with a whole rocking band!! He was so great-his voice, stage presence(going out into the audience even)and music. I just happened to find that "unplugged" video yesterday(which would have been just as good).

~Erin,
I WAS really fun and *very* Newport(preppy style--yachting types mixed with biker types-good people watching). I have never been to the Folk Festival, can you beleive it? This year is it's 50th anniversay and it is this coming weekend.

~Arty,
It was all I had hoped for and more. :-) It is under a big tent by the harbor and with the ocean mist and breeze, the mood and setting makes the concert that much better, too. I kept joking that Johhny Depp was going to be there(his boat docked in Newport last week)..maybe he was?!?

~Zuzana,
Another fan!!
If you have read my comments so far, you can probably guess that I had a great evening. :-)

You certainly can!! :-)
I hope you'll be able to see him and his band perform sometime--it was fantastic(and he made all the ladies swoon)

Thank you, Tina, you're sweet as always!!!:)I'm sure it has been fantastic!!!:)
By the way, there's something I've wanted to ask you for quite a long time - you haven't replied to my letter yet, have you? I'm not trying to put any pressure on you, not at all, I just hope your letter wasn't lost, that's all!!!;)

I sometimes love and sometimes hate Chris Isaak. Depending on the mood. But as he said :

"I've been gone on the road for the past three years; maybe I've been home for two or three weeks in a year. I literally live - it's like one of those old movies where they show a train, and pages of a calendar are peeling away like leaves, and then there's a picture of me with gray hair.”

Ah right! I'm jealous too!
