Friday Fill In Da Blanks Time

A Friday Fill-In, courtesy of Janet. 1. I feel _____scented and green. (just spritzed on parfum and am wearing an emerald green shirt I had forgotten all about until I spied it in the back of my closet this morning)

2. Sampling a new fragrance (Boucheron's "Trouble" )___________ is always fun. Consensus so far--it's yummy in a warm and lemony way.

3. Right now, I can hear these things: ___________ Jewel shaking her tags on her collar, a crow cawing, someone with a weed-wacker making A LOT of noise.

4.It's nearly ___________ the weekend after a seemingly l-o-n-g week-the first week back at school for both J and R and I'm glad ___________my daughter(and yes, husband) can at least sleep in a few mornings to catch up on her rest. (it's been an especially long first week at school with R getting up at 6:00 ever morning and not being done until 4:00 when cross-country practice is over.)

5. The last time I ___________swung on a swing(wheee!)was ___________ at least a few years ago at this festival.

6. The sun is *supposed* to shine all___________ this Labor day weekend.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _____getting a nice pizza and being a couch potato , tomorrow my plans include _____taking my daughter to a community service rubbish pick-up at a park(her cross-country team is doing it) and a cook-out in the afternoon and Sunday, I want to _____maybe...just maybe... venture out to the Rhythm & Roots music festival! (and swing on a swing--who knows?)

Once in a while we have to swing on a swing and eat a double scoop ice cream cone!

I am going to copy your plans for tonight. A pizza for dinner and lounging on the couch afterwards for the whole evening. Enjoy!

Now you have me wanting to swing on a swing. I push R. on one all of the time but never get on it and do it myself. As a kid, I used to twirl around and around on it until the chain got tied up and then let go and twirl really fast and get dizzy. Now I am old I cannot do that!

My weekend: R. staying at Grandparents tonight. Hubby and I going out to eat at new japanese restaurant. Sat. Picking up R. in afternoon and going to friends for dinner. Sun SHOPPING. (although taking R. with me as hubby is going bike riding) and I won't be able to try on clothes. drat.
Mon no plans whatsover. Sleep as much as I can

Finding a shirt you forgot about in the back of the closet is the best. I swung on a swing today at school. Thanks for reminding me of my fun job. (I needed it, I've been having a tough week.)

Hi Tina...I always like reading about what you hear in these fill-in things. And having been away from blog visiting for a while, I'm noticing your Summer Dreams collage. It's gorgeous! I love it.

Like you, am experiencing the first week back at school and glad there's a three-day weekend. Enjoy.

Nice fill ins. I remember swinging as a kid and getting dizzy as a result of swinging too much. Yuk, lol.

I might try and do these friday fill ins too because I have no inspiration whatsoever for writing a blog (if I manage to be consistant each friday and figure out what the rules are if there are any).

Lovely photo of you to there Tina. :)

First of all I *love* the swing photo :-)). And I love to swing ;-).
Nice fill ins indeed! And it sounds like a lovely weekend!

Oh and we have been watching The Big Bang Theory in the past weeks as well (on dvd because there's not that much else to watch here yet ;-). So funny you are too!

~Sandra,
I had to smile when I read your comment!! The only time I ever went out to the ice cream shop all summer for a double scoop(pistachio) was with my husband one hot night when our daughter was staying with her grandparents. We were the only adults there without children or grandchildren, but felt like kids ourselves, happily licking our ice cream cones.

~Zuzana,
I never DID make it to the music festival afterall(was too tired after a late night at the cook-out), but listened to the music from the show on a radio station. Never did get on a swing, either....

~Rosemary,
Friday nights are usually a no-cook night in my house, with a pizza or fish & chips as our dinner. :-) Hope you enjoyed your Fri. night pizza.

~~Clare,
I am so happy that you had this long weekend to enjoy a night out with the husband and shopping(!) and just relaxing a bit...

~~Amanda,
I used to love blowing bubbles and hide-and-go-seek(have not played that in SO long...)

~~Becca,
It was fun in a laid back kind of way--just wish every weekend were a three day one, don't you?

~~Awwww, Erin,
Sorry to hear the past week was tough. Hope you got your batteries recharged over these last few days and this week will be better. See? If I were working at a school I think I would swing more often, too.

~~sallymandy,
Isn't it a shock to the system, even as a parent, that first week of school? I have had to folow a calendar again and don't know how many forms I had to fill out last week, for the school...
Thanks for the compliment about my colllage--just wish it were a better quality image here.

~~Hi Arts,
Do you know, my husband can't even LOOK at people swinging on swings because it starts to make him dizzy? Myself, i loved that that feeling...

~~Marcelle,
Do they have The Big Bang Theory in Dutch? I didn't even think this was a well-known show, so was surprised that it was shown overseas...

It was an absolutely beautiful Labor Day weekend here, too :-) And I see on your sidebar you're enjoying Cage The Elephant, too!

No, we are watching the Big Bang Theory in English. Lots of English language for us these days ;-).
We can hardly wait for the 3rd season to be released on dvd lol.
Don't you just love *and* hate Sheldon at times? He's incredible I think.

~Cessie,
J and I watched "Big Bang" just last night--it makes me laugh out loud.
I am so happy that you know this show, too(it seems not to be too popular among my friends--they don't know what I am talking about). The actor who plays the "Sheldon" character does a great job, doesn't he?!

I can't believe I missed this! Anyway...better late than never! And besides...it's almost Friday over here.

1.I feel like a ....a school freak! I love the smell of my new rubbers!

2. I like the smell of Silver Rain (La Prairie)

3. Right now I can hear Alkis asking if dinner is ready.

4. It's nearly the weekend....today was the first day of school over here but I start on Monday!So...last holiday weekend because I work on Saturdays!

5. The last time I went to the beach was 3 days ago. Despite the rain yesterday and a considerable drop in temperature (31*C ) it's still warm enough to go to the beach...hopefully..this coming weekend.

6. The sun is supposed to shine 300 days a year in Cyprus.

7. And as for the weekend tomorrow...I'm looking forward to going to the beach if the weather says so. And to a friend's dinner party on Saturday!

~Anastasia,
I know exactly what you mean about liking the smell of "rubbers"(more often called erasers where I live)==I like the smell of new ones, too!
As for "Silver Rain"--what a beautiful name and I'll bet it is an expensive scent(if it is from La Prairie)
