It really did turn out to be a joyous, peaceful one in my house (complete with rum cake and a new big flat screen TV!)

Some people work at Christmas and throughout the holiday season, my husband for instance, but I really had a wonderful Christmas with Alkis and some great friends.I love those candles! Well, I do have a passion for candles - any candles- but yours reflect your talent as a great artist. Xronia Polla!

Rum cake. And a large TV. Doesn't get much better than that.

Happy Holidays!

I am so happy to read this. We had one of the best Christmas Eves since I moved to the USA 19 years ago. Christmas Day was almost as good. (A grumpy Grandma who is 93 so I forgive her already)

~Erin,
Round 2, aye? I am sure you are having a great time down with your relatives--and travel safe!

~Anastasia,
Good to hear that you and Alkis were able to slow down at Christmas time to celebrate with friends. I love sitting in my home at night with the candles lit at this time of year, and just had an urge to photograph them.

~Thanks, c.k.!
It took a few tries to get the right photos until I got the ones that reflected exactly the mood I wanted.

~Hey Pseudo,
Actually, it does....rum cake for breakfast(!) the day after Christmas, watching "It's A Wonderful Life" on the BIG TV. :-)

~Merry Christmas to you(it's still Christmas, right?), Jack! We went for years with small TVs from garage sales, so I can't quite believe we have this giant thing in our home.

~Duskie!!
I got your card--at least you were not behind in that--thank you SO much(I didn't send cards this year), and it's still Christmas(you know--the 12 days of Xmas and tall that). Merry Christmas to you and have fun with the relatives.

~Clare,
Happy Christmas! Guess that Christmas magic crept in to make your holiday bright. It's always so much more fun at Christmastime when kids are small, like your's is.
