Thank God It's February!
We got through January.
Now it's just February, March, and April(April is never quite spring around here)we have to get trhough.
"Thinking About Tomorrow" by Beth Orton is a perfect mid-winter song for me.
I see in my mind an empty beach on a late winter afternoon with cold blue skies and sparkling waves rolling in
and
a far off house on a hill with a lit fireplace inside waiting for me,
when I listen to this song. It's wistful and melancholic and beautiful. Orton's voice, with that slight husky and sad edge to it--I just love it!
And...if you can look past her modern day clothes and hair, doesn't she look like she should be in a Jane Austen novel?

Yes, it is february. Time continues to fly by. February is usually a very difficult month for me but I am hopeful that this year will be different.

TGIF...I thought you were a bit late with a Friday entry, when I read you meant February. I did realized it was February already until I read your post! no kidding. I've been so busy, I honestly did not know where January went. A good thing, or a bad? In any case, February is here. It is known as a "crazy month" here in Guate, and those born in it as "crazy people" hahaha Wishing you a good and bearable February!

TGIF for sure. January is the hardest month for me. From here on out I can look forward to Spring. January is so dark and cold. February has a hint of Spring in the air!!
I loved the song /and the picture it brings into your head;)/ a lot!!!:) Just beautiful!!!:) And I'm happy it's February too - it's a short month and on March 1st we'll celebrate 'Baba Marta' in Bulgaria /the old lady who gives 'marthenitza's to the children and thus shows us that the spring has come:)/!!!:)It's one of my most favourite traditions as you probably know!!!;)
Now that you mention it...yes she does look like Elizabeth Bennet! I see in my mind a golden beach on a Greek island and I dream of the dazzling blue of the Aegean, but on this freezing February night, I'm glad it's February as I look forward to Valentine's Day, our Green Monday on the 15th (a bit too early this year) - lovely! lovely! long weekend - and soon after that, of course, Alkis' birthday!End of digression! Other than that, February is a hectic month at work. Right! Midterm exams!
