I always say I am going to do something about changing my homepage from Yahoo, because I am either confronted first thing in the morning when I log on,
with horrible world news(earthquakes, global warming, suicide bombers, crazed Americans killing with guns in public places and on and on...), Sarah Palin's giant head, and nonsensical things that would fit into the "why exactly is this news?" category, like this:

With a link to a video. No, thank you. I don't really even know what a Pussy Cat Dolls song sounds like(and what kind of people are their fans?) and I hope I never find out.
Well, it has been a while since I have written about some of my dreams.....
I am slowly losing my dream from early this morning(before I woke to birdsong that really made me think of spring!). Something about bouncing from icy rock to icy rock along the ocean's edge here in town. And my daughter joining in, right behind me.
Instead of flying dreams, I have reoccurring "bouncing" dreams. I half-fly /half-bounce off the ground(like "Flubber"). It's a good dream when I bounce.
The other night, I had a wonderful dream about swimming alongside a tiny elephant in a river--one even smaller than a real elephant baby would be. That was a happy dream, too.

I have weird dreams. Sometimes they come true - a little freakish. I had very strange dreams last night/this morning and am still unnerved by it.

Good advice about the "fluff"--at least it is entertaining. A part of me, though, does want to know what is going on in the world and not stick my head in the sand, but it is too much sometimes.

More good advice--I may consider changing my homepage to Google.
Gal Friday - I live in DC & I can't seem to avoid the world and as they like to say here - our local news is your national news.So sometimes I deal with it by fluff on my yahoo page....okay and gin....hey a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do. :-)
