Summer's End

Blueberry field off Foss Mountain Road in Eaton, New Hampshire
As the year nears the autumn equinox, I am feeling ready for fall, but also wistfully looking back already on the summer of 2010.
It was hot and sunny for the most part, but we had perfect temps(in the 70's and low 80's Fahrenheit) and cool and breezy weather thankfully when we were up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in July.
There were meals eaten outdoors most every day,
griping about the crowds of day trippers and summer people congesting the Pier area and local roads,
cool dips in the Atlantic ocean to cool off(although never on a weekend, because of those crowds),
a visit from my brother's family which included my adorable little niece and nephew,
cook-outs with friends,
flowers(although I gave up on maintaining my garden by early August this year because of the heat and outdoor watering bans),
and reading in my hammock in the backyard.

Good bye, summer!!

Wonderful pictures of your summer vacation and happy times with your family. Thanks. I enlarged the set for a closer look.

Your Mosaic shows a great summer of fun. I enlarged and see many shots that are so interesting. Love the legs in the lake and the sunglass/smile on the grass!

I always feel sad when summer ends, so it's a good thing that I love the fall. It's a season to look forward to, isn't it?

Beautiful collage and such a lovely tribute to my favorite season!;)
The top picture makes me feel relaxed and instigates a feel of happiness. It reminds me a bit of the meadows under the mountains where I was born.;)

I *so* love your summer mosaic!! It's great and I think it really captures what you were writing about in your blog entry here. I feel a bit of melancholy though when reading and seeing it all :)
