Warning: some Idol Chatter this morning;
The Archie fan(the daughter) and Cookie fan(the mother) went to Providence to see the American Idol Tour last night.
This was BIG for Rachel--she is just besotted with David Archuleta. The sound and seats were great, the intermission was much too long with this extremely annoying MC who kept telling us to "make some noise" and "Are you ready to party?!" I might also mention, a predominantly female crowd. Lots of screaming especially for Jason Castro (who I found more appealing and listenable last night than during the entire run of the TV show), David A and winner David Cook.
Best performers were Brook White (who was always so nervous and sloppy on the show itself!), Chikizie (always liked him and thought he was voted off much too early), David A.(especially loved his singing One Republic's "Apologise") and charismatic powerhouse David Cook. The whole thing was still too distanced (I had not been to an arena show at this place since 1980? and hadn't been in the place for at least 15 years, when I was at a Prov. Bruins hockey game) and slick for my usual live music tastes, but this was a dream night for Rachel.
Also, we ate at a very good Cuban restaurant before the show and I definitely want to go back there . (see fried plantains with a garlic dipping sauce above)
Have to get myself in early for work to make sure I get done what I need to. I am calling the vet at nine when they open and have to get Jewel in today, which means I will leave work early. She is back to being the way she was two weeks ago, despite us giving her the antibiotic every day. She has no interest in her food and is lethargic and just wants to hide out in Rachel's room all day. She does still muster up some tail wagging when she sees you (and had a pretty energetic greeting for Rachel and I when we got in from the show last night).
I just want my poor doggie to get better and be her usual energetic self again.
I would have posted more photos with this entry, but I still haven't figured out how to do multiple photos with text in between.

I have finally managed to figure out how to add your blog to my site on here (thanks to a friend). I still find it more awkward than Yahoo but maybe I'll get used to it. Have a great Monday!
Instructions for adding multiple photos to your post.
You have to know upfront how many photos you want to upload. Click on the link for "add another photo" until you have the desired number of boxes. Then upload your photos all at once.
You will then have to add your desired text either above or below each photo manually.
There might be another way, but I have not found it. This works for me.

I am jealous about seeing David Cooke. He was always my favorite, too!
I am glad you had a good evening, even if the actual entertainment was lackluster for you. I am sure Rachel will remember it for all time. (Like my very first concert (Debbie Gibson) with my mom!)

see my comment to YOUR vcomment in the "Peeved" entry--it WILL get better and you are smart lady so I think you will eventually get the hang of the whole Blofggger set-up, and a little help from your friend can't help either.

I hope that Rachel will always remember the concert, just like you remembered your Debbie Gibson concert! (my first concert, at the very same place we went to last night...was..The Kinks!! Showing my age..)
How wonderful to attend a concert with R and of course the meal sounded great as well.
I guess she will have memories of the concert forever, but also of a night out with her mum. Very important I think. And you will have too, to cherish for moments when things aren't that wonderful in life ;-)

Cuban food is good. Some months ago, I had a dish (which name I can't remember) at a birthday party that consisted of plantains, beans and rice. Really good!! The plantains and garlic dipping looks good!
When you insert a picture, it appears at the beginning of your entry. It starts with a < a... and finishes witha < /a >. When wanting to have them around your entry, highlight it, cut it (ctrl + X), go to the paragraph you want your photo next to and paste it (ctrl + V). Hope it helps.
