i love ferns. i have one by my front door. it is not looking pretty. (if it does not survive, it will be the third or fourth one i've killed.) i am very confessional today.
I love ferns; I am totally fascinated by the fact that once long time ago, they were huge trees.;) They also seems to like to grow where nothing else does.;) Lovely pictures.;)
Love ferns and love these pictures. Ferns conjour up memories of walking in the woods in England wondering if an Adder was going to slither out from them and bite me! My mum can grow a mean indoor fern. Plants tend to die inside my house, I have a much better time with the outside flowers
~Judy, Me, too...ferns are so simple but beautiful. They mean lushness to me. Lucky for me, we have two types of wild ones that have spread along two sides of our fence--they are hardier than they look.
~Protege, That's right--they are ancient, aren't they?(some were as tall as trees back in the dinosaur age, I think?)

~Clare, I never think of snakes in England, do yu know? But I know what you mean--ferns(once they are all grown in--that will be by the end of the mnth around here) look so green and lush and truly "forest-y", don't they? I am the same way as you--I nurture my outdoor plants but completely forget to care for the indoor ones(my husband takes care of those, thank goodness)
