Just a quick tribute to Audrey Hepburn on her birthday.
(I have to make a longish list of chores for R, since she is home today--and will be home from school until Wednesday in fact-- because of a "probable" case of Swine Flu in a student at her school, and then get myself dressed and out the door for work.)

I wonder what she would have looked like today, had she yet grced us with her presence, and how she would have continued to influence our lives with style and grace.
I love Audrey and her classic, sophisticated and always elegant look - she is timeless. I remember when I was a teenager, me and my sister shared a book on beauty, that we loved unconditionally. I wonder what happened to it. Written in the 50ies, we loved all the tips and advices in it more than any other modern one we could find.
Audrey was on the cover in her profile and what will forever stay in my memory is her incredibly graceful, long neck.
I have loved all the movies she ever made, but I admit that my favorite is not "Breakfast at Tiffany's" but "How to steel a million" with Peter O'Toole. Wonderful, wonderful little film.;))

i loved her in pygmalion--or was it my fair lady? i know one is the play and one is the movie. she was awesome. but, i have to say for classic actresses i LOVE katherine hepburn.

I remember being pretty upset when she died because someone of her calibre can never be replaced.
I love the interaction between Cary Grant and Audrey in Charade.
Charade was one of my favourites too although it scared me half to death!
a great tribute to a great artist. love watching her movies. she is such a cute little spitfire and so sophisticated at the same time.
