I am.....

I Am.....
thinking that I just might actually turn the oven on today. I have had the ingredients for granola for a week but it has been so hot that doing anything with the oven turned on would have been crazy. But, today...it feels not so hot-- a freshness in the air and almost a little coolness. No humidity. My arms aren't sticking to the desk as I type, which is what was happening all last week. What a relief!
Wearing: my jammies, still...

Drinking:
lukewarm cawfee. i think I need staff that will go and refill my cup when I am engrossed in blogging.

Eating:
nothing yet. wish I had some homemade granola . i'll probably eat a bowl of Cheerios instead. granola tomorrow, then.

Listening to:
birds, softly cricketing crickets, fan whirring in other room

Craving:
homemade granola.
last night, about an hour after supper, i had a mad craving for a slice of Key Lime pie. i think i may need to find a bakery that will sell me one today(or make it? ) in case i get that craving again later on.
Hmmmm..now that i have just written about Key Lime pie, i am craving it again...right now. Key Lime pie for breakfast would be divine.
Worried About:
the mild headaches I have kept getting after sucking in the yellow fumes of the fire extinguisher that was used on the fire at work last Wednesday. Yes, we had a full-blown electrical fire last week(lighting fixture in flames, ceiling in flames, floor below in flames..) and one of my co-workers pretty much saved the shop and my job with his quick thinking. So, yeah, the extinguisher is a very good thing, but I wonder about all the fumes(acrid smell of molten hot burning plastic and metal, too) we inhaled and am probably being paranoid and a little silly. Still, these almost daily headaches....
Missing:
routine (but this will return soon enough once J and R are back at school next week)
Wanting to:
draw, paint , make a creative mess. something I have not done once all summer. what happened? i never painted our hallway, either, like i had said i would way back in the spring...*sigh*
Reading:
The Madonnas Of Leningrad by Debra Dean
Dreaming about:
last night i dreamt i visited an online friend(whom i have never met). this is the second time she has figured in a dream of mine, too.

I am sorry about the headaches, but I think that this oppressive humidity is NOT helping. Super headacheish and slightly migrainey here this month...

Good luck w/ your key lime pie search. It seems like a worthy quest.

Also in jammies, drinking lukewarm coffee here. :-)

I'm in my jammies, too! I just refilled my coffee, though. It was lukewarm before, but I dumped and refilled. Now it is hot!! I wish I had a waiter... That is a good idea.

OOOOO I LOVE key lime pie! I had a hankering for blueberry (because of reading this knitting mystery book) and so quelched it with some pie on Sunday, and last night, and probably tonight. So good!

I am glad you are okay! Fires are scary! Sorry about the headaches, though.

My new routine will start on Thursday.... I love routine, but I am aprehensive about this one! LOL!!

Scary fire episode! so sorry about the consequences. Surely it is the cause of your headaches.

They're back to school next week?! That felt fast!, didn't it? I can imagine it went faster for them. I guess all good things must come to an end. Isn't it strange how one misses routine? I know exactly what you mean. When I don't do my "usual" things, I feel strange and feel like I missed something.
Hope you can get your key lime pie! and your granola.

I wish that I were in my jammies. I am drinking lukewarm tetley tea because every time I go to drink it I have a little one pulling on my trouser leg asking for blueberry ghost cereal!

I hope that your headaches aren't related to the fire. For piece of mind I would check it out. I had frequent headaches when I was spending too much time on the 'lapbox' as my hubby calls it.

Have you seen a picture of your online friend? I wonder if she looks the same as how you see in your dream?

I am sorry about your headaches too. I have one every day but the last couple of days they have been worse. It could be the humidity but also may have something to do with my allergies which have been mild lately instead of absent!

I like key lime pie too, in case anyone wants to make me one. I think it's the combination of sweet and tangy that I like - sort of like rhubarb pie.

Ah, your day off sounds really nice.;))
Sorry about the fire at work! That must have been really scary! I am terrified of fires!
Actually, I am intrigued about your dream. As in fact I dreamed the same dream as well.;))
I am fascinated by dreams and I really should start keeping a dream journal. Perhaps I will start today.;))

Wow, glad noone got hurt in the fire.

It's good to see you blogging more often..Good sign that cooler days are ahead soon. And they certainly are here with cooler nights thankfully.

Btw, I have a new game going on on my page..could be fun :)

Did you go to the Doctor with your headaches? Might be wise when you keep having those! One never knows. Smoke can be heavy for the body.
Must have been scary to have the fire I think!

I crave for some routine as well :-). I guess that will have to wait for a little while longer. Making my own little routines does make it easier though!

Summer has flown hasn't it! But the good side is there will be more time to be creative from now on!! Enjoy the cooler times! And have fun with your creative mess!

I love reading these snippets about where, what, people are doing at a given blogging moment.

I'm still in my jammies and it's after three in the afternoon. Gawd.

Hi, I'm new to your blog. I got here by way of Doreen at Reflections.

I like your profile pic. That is really cool. Did you create it?

I've never had key lime pie, but I get cravings all the time for all kinds of things. Sometimes it passes, and sometimes not.

I wake up with blogging friends on my mind on a daily basis. They enter my dreams too, but I can never remember the details.

Anyhow, I like your little tidbits, snippits of information. I'm a curious soul, so I'll probably check out the L-O-N-G- guest post you wrote and I will read the whole thing. Anyhow, I like your blog so I'll be back.

These blogs are always interesting, to get a sense of what's going on with you right at the moment!!

So sorry about the headaches... I hope they are getting better. Probably nothing to worry about too much, but you need to clear it out of your system. REALLY glad a co-worker saved the day there... how scary to have a fire like that at work!!

Well now I'm thinking about pie, but I'm thinking rhubarb pie, which I haven't had in SOOOO long. My mom used to make the best rhubarb pie!!! ... or... hmm... maybe lemon meringue... refreshing!! Uh oh.... must stop thinking on this topic!! :D
