My newest acquisition--a handmade felt crow on a metal pedestal/final type stand. I saw her in a shop window and had to have her. Very Edward Gorey, no?
I have been moving her around in the living room. Not sure where to display her just yet, but she is a nice addition to the fall and Halloween themed decorations I now have arranged around the room.
I pottered around yesterday-setting out the few Halloween things I have and added some bouquets of the last flowers from my garden(and some wildflowers from a walk with Jewel).
So...today's plan is to make some chicken soup with rice(there is a sorry looking carcass of a chicken in my fridge) and some bread (gotta lug out the bread machine) and maybe...some brownies. I am feeling so domesticated this weekend, it's scary!

I like Isabel, she is lovely!;) It looks to me like she standing on one foot, contemplating life.;) I know, I have the same dilemma at times, when I find something I just have to have, then I just can not find where it should be placed. Usually, the place I had planned in my mind initially turns out not to be suitable at all in reality.;)
Enjoy you domestic Sunday.;)
(I missed your Friday Fill In this week;)))

Greetings Isabel, a very elegant looking crow, indeed!
Isabel is beautiful! That's one I'd want to keep out all year.
Have a great domestic Sunday!

Isabel is gorgeous.
Isabel is a pretty crow. It seems an unusual combination of felt and metal but it works very nicely. I would display her all year round. I like the piece of art behind her.
It's nice to feel domestic every now and then, and your chicken soup with rice sounds very good.
Very nice find.
Now I have the song "Chicken Soup With Rice" stuck in my head (we sometimes watch the video of the cartoon on youtube at school...)
Happy 3-day weekend. Enjoy the bread!
That's pretty cute. Very unusual but that's what it's all about. Love your decor in both photos and I bet the art in both frames are yours :)
Isabel makes me want to make something. Hmmmm...
Very Autumnal Isabel is. Perfect for this time of year. I'm taking out my Halloween decorations next weekend.
I love it, very cool :)
Isabel is very different and unique and that makes her cute.Chicken soup sounds good.I had some a week ago.
Erin,
That song was in my head all weekend, too! Rachel knows it by heart and was singing it(we actually still play that CD--Really Rosie-in this house!) Now it is in my head...again. ;-)
Love Isabel, what a great find!! I agree, I'd keep her out all year :)
Love Isabel! This time of year really makes me feel like nesting, too. Bringin' out the carbs in the kitchen! s
