Almost Wordless Wednesday
Okay..a few words: Taken on a wet and slushy evening in Little Italy(yeah, we did the required NYC tourist thing-- having our dinner there after seeing Stomp in the East Village) through the window of a restaurant called the Grotta Azzura.
Very cool. I've been to New York once and ate in Little Italy and it was the best italian food I've ever had. I was very surprised. I was pleasantly surprised by New York as a whole as it was so much better than what I thought.
I bet the Stomp show was really energizing. I hope you had a great time. Can't wait to hear about it. I like your photo too.
Erin, I wish I had written about NYC the day after I got back, but my week's been a blur of activity since then...so all I can say is that there are a LOT of people in New York, even when it's pouring rain and New Yorkers are very friendly people. Had a great time despite the rather crappy weather and laughed over the silliest things with my friends(felt like we were in Seinfeld episodes half the time). Want to go back...
~JarieLyn, I guess the better Italian food is to be found in Chinatown now(this is what I have heard), but I loved the food and atmosphere where we ate( a restaurant that has been there since 1908). THe Stomp show was in a small theater (where it has been running since 1994)and was wonderful and amazing.
~Cristin, Sometimes you just gotta make those kinds of things happen...sounds like a good plan(hope it's in the near future for you)

~~Kate, Thanks. :-) There certainly was an "almost" romantic mood by the time we got to Little Italy with the "almost" snow falling and the cozy interiors of all the eateries beckoning us in out of the cold wet slushy stuff.
~Anastasia, We really did have a great day despite less than ideal weather--we were a great group who all got along and had fun together(we are already planning our next day trip together).

Love this picture. Hubs and I talk about trying to make it to NYC for a weekend while we're still young enough to drink our faces off.
Beautiful! Shop windows on rainy nights can make the best scenes for photographing.
