Two years ago today, I posted my first "official" blog entry here at Blogger, which I am republishing below.
Reading it over, it seems nothing much has changed in my lfe. Still writing about the same day-to-day mundane stuff. That could be either a good thing or a bad thing.
I no longer have that old grey hoodie,
and gee--what a good idea-I should mix up some white Sangria for this weekend,
I haven't seen that neighbor in some time(maybe I should walk over there soon), and I have actually been missing my mother lately(must be the time of the year for that?), so I'll give her a call. I *know* she is waiting for me to call, as it has been two weeks and I get the feeling she is a little miffed that I haven't called.
And...those nasturtiums never did well, by the way.
~~blog entry from May 25, 2008....
* cue a little Neil Diamond music??
I Am.....
Wearing: pajama bottoms, tank top and an old grey hoodie-- I just took an evening shower.
Drinking: nothing right now, but made a white Sangria today and ended up sipping that slowly all afternoon.
Eating: ate supper an hour ago...my pasta salad and the delicious slow-cooked baked beans my neighbor brought over for us.
Listening to: the television from the other room. The announcer just said, "Get ready for the craziest redneck bash ever! You have GOT to see this." Um, I don't think I do, and what on earth is John watching in there??!! I think he is channel flipping now that the Sox game is over. Now it sounds like he is listening to..KISS?
Craving: nothing at the moment--I have gotten what I wanted all day--glorious weather, time spent in the garden and hammock, now a little computer time. Purrr....I am completely content.
Worried About: my boss and one of my co-workers, for various reasons.
Missing: my mother--was thinking about her yesterday and today
Wanting to: get comfy on the couch and read
Reading: Love In The Time Of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, which I am loving and savoring every poetic image and sentence.
Addicted to: gardening
Dreaming about: what my nasturtiums will look like once they have grown, bloomed and trailed up the fence

Happy Blog Anniversary. Wow..two years really flies by, doesn't it? Now you've got me wanting to plant nasturtiums. Eat two cupcakes today and celebrate. xo, Rosemary
I was thinking today "how have I been writing here? I should look that up", and wham! your entry was exactly about that :-) Two years already?! Time flies!
I was wondering, did you see the film version of Love in the Time of Cholera? I never read the book, and must say, the movie was not of my entire like.
Happy blogiversary! Lovely little slice of your life in this entry. And you have a neighbour who brings you food!! :)
What a lovely post, revisiting your past.;) I love to go back and read old posts too.;) It is like reading a diary.;)
I think the fact that not much has changed is good.;) At least nothing has changed for the worse.,) You know what the say; changes can sneak up on you when you least expect it and they can happen very fast.
I guess congratulations on your 2 years blogoversary are in order!;))
xoxo
Lovely post, I truly enjoyed reading it..."I am I said!" One of my most favourite songs by Neil Diamond :-)As one of my TypePad friends says in her blog description: "Blog as if no one was reading". What I love most in your blogs, Tina, is this spontaneous overflow of feelings that you communicate to your readers and, yes, you make us want to drop back again and again!
happy anniversary! isn't it amazing when you realize how long you've been doing this? i love reading your blog, and don't find it mundane at all. you often capture a melodic slice of life in words and pictures and i find it very soothing : )
and i love me some neil diamond!
Very cool post to repost. And happy blogoversary.
Hello there... wow, it's been a long time since I've been here, and I apologize for that. My life has been, well.. you know... rough lately.
I love the pic of the tree in this post... it very much reminds me of one in my back yard, and I keep trying to take a similar shot of it as it has progressed with ever more leaves this season.
Nice to hear that things are pretty much the same... well hey, that's stability anyway!! Nice to reflect back on a post you made 2 years ago!! Wow, 2 years of blogging here already! Congrats... or happy anniversary... or something!! :)
*hugs*

Oh, and I think it's good that some things in our lives never change - this gives us a feeling of stability, don't you agree?!;)
