I have been following the news coming out of Japan since Friday morning when I first heard about the devastating earthquake and tsunami, and only sometimes allowing myself to look at the incredible video and photos--just too horrifying to see.
I was at a St. Patrick's Day party(yes, a wee bit early) last night and had laughs and drinks(ow! my head this morning...) and it was a great time out with good friends. Then, as soon as I woke up this morning and logged on to my computer, I was jolted back to reality because there was more news from Japan.
My heart aches for the Japanese people and all they are going through right now.

my heart and prayers go out to the people of Japan and all others affected by this. it is so terrible. happens so quickly. :-(
It just seems surreal. New Zealand and now Japan in a matter of weeks. I wish I could do *something* more than pray/think of them. I want to go and hug their hurt away.
I hope they feel the love of the world around them in this tragic time.
Everything is crazy right now isn't it? The north east is flooding, Japan is melting. The west is shaking. Someone told me yesterday it was only the beginning -a man in the home depot gardening section all places was telling anyone who would listen. I just kept walking.

Sometimes a disaster of this magnitude is hard to comprehend. I have friends in Japan and was relieved to hear that all survived. Now they must also deal with the after effects.

It is incredibly grim news--the images and accounts I am reading each day, coming out of Japan. I, too, have to limit my news intake, but it is always right there in my face on my homepage when I log on in the mornings. I can and will be donating to relief operations for Japan, but it feels like it'll be a drop in a bucket to help the Japanese.
It is sad and heartbreaking, not to mention scary, isn't it? I've been following it (while crafting!) over the weekend as well, and I never cease to be impressed. Watching the images and video is awful, but hearing the stories from the Japanese people (many with relatives unaccounted for) is even worse. God bless them and protect them.

What is happening in Japan is so shocking, terrible and heartbreaking...I cannot imagine going through such a disaster and my thoughts go out to all the people there... Love from London xo

We are still obsessively watching the news for information on the one Nuke Power Plant... So sad :(
I was just reading about the animals being rescued, too. They found a baby dolphin in a rice paddy! Carried him back to the ocean and he swam away :-()
